Seize the Opportunity

Lately I’ve been reminded more and more of how important it is to seize opportunity when it is presented to us.

So many of us are presently wishing, hoping and praying for change and improved circumstances, yet when opportunity arrives in an unwrapped package that looks nothing like the glamorous gift box we envisioned, we shun it thinking that can’t possibly be the opportunity that is meant for us. Truth is, that is probably exactly what is meant for us. Unfortunately, we’re so stuck in our ways disillusioned by the idea of opportunity being some grand and Hollywood style presentation that we miss the simplicity and power of something that at first blush may seem insignificant.

Below is a video I put together to talk about seizing opportunities with a special message to moms. Check it out.

So, what did you think? Again, please don’t think I was excluding anyone even though I was appealing to mothers….it’s just that I have a very special understanding and connection to those emotions so many moms in a single income family are faced with.

And remember, even though I shared an opportunity that benefits everyone, not just moms, you have to find the opportunity, product and/or service that works for YOU. If it isn’t in integrity with who you are and what you believe in and it doesn’t feel right, DON’T DO IT. It will never be authentic and you will never experience joy and abundance as a result of your association.

It doesn’t matter to me if you contact me or not about the opportunity I shared, what does matter is that if you have been looking for something better, find something that is great for you and go for it! Pay attention to not only those bright shiny packages, but those small little dingy things that may not seem like much, but could honestly be the opportunity of a lifetime.

I wish you much success, joy, happiness and prosperity in your journey. Please share with those who could benefit from this message and be sure to share your comments below.

‘The Lost Girls’ of New York learn to embrace the journey – USATODAY.com

Here’s an interesting story of three friends who were experiencing their “quarter-life crisis” simultaneously, and decided to drop everything and take off for a year-long journey of self-discovery. Not something all of us are able to do, but still an inspiring story just the same. Enjoy!

How Well Do You Know Your Customers?

I was recently introduced, or re-introduced I should say, to a man by the name of Frank Kern. When I heard his name I quite honestly didn’t even know who he was, but I was intrigued by what he had to say based on the good reviews of others.

Turns out this guy is a laid back surfer dad who has created a nice little name for himself in the world of internet marketing. And I learned that it was his product Stompernet, that I heard so much buzz about awhile back that first introduced me to him.

I admit, I did not buy into his Stompernet program and completely ignored all the hoopla and anything related to him. I was quite honestly intimidated by how much money I didn’t have at the time to buy into yet another program, it had nothing to do with him. But now after watching his video, I’m pleasantly surprised.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an online marketer or you have a brick and mortar setup, if you’ve got customers, Kern shares something that is valuable to all business owners.

He shares his story of becoming successful, losing it all after being sued by the government, how he gained it all back, was rich and miserable (he shares the story of how there was a conflict in his family over which mansion to purchase!)  and then how he completed a simple yet profound exercise that turned his world around and completely changed his life for the better.

He shares the exercise in his video that changed his life, but goes one step further to explain how you can take things up a notch to learn how to identify with your customer base on an authentic level. What he shares goes beyond just business best practices, but really digs deep into understanding who you are as well as your customer. Check it out absolutely FREE here.

After watching I’d love to hear your thoughts. Have you done this exercise before and was it life changing for you, or is this your first time being introduced to it? If you’re new to this exercise, are you going to complete it…or were you so excited that you completed it as soon as you finished watching the video? I’m working on mine right now!

Can’t wait to hear your feedback, and if you think this information can help someone else, please pay it forward and pass it on. Thanks!

Just Say Yes!

I was reminded of a great principle in church today that reminds us to not ignore the call within us to do more, be more and have more than we are right now.

I’d love to take a few moments to share this wonderful concept with you. Just click on the play button below and check it out!

Is there something inside of you that has been speaking to you but perhaps you’ve been ignoring it because you’re not sure how to make this thing real? If so, that’s okay! A lot of times when something bigger than us is calling us to action it can be scary because we have no idea how to make those small little seeds that have been planted within us grow into something amazing. We can’t see beyond where we are currently of how to make it possible. But if we only take the first step and say “yes”, I promise you, your path will be revealed to you step by step. But it won’t happen until you say “yes”….even if you have to say “I have no idea what this means and I don’t have a clue as to how to make all of this work, but I am going to trust what I am being lead to do and say YES.”

Did that resonate with you in some way? I’d love to hear about it so please share your thoughts and insights below as they can be a blessing others.  Oh, and re-tweets and Facebook love are always appreciated! Have a fantastic day!

P.S. Please excuse the wobbly video and the occasional sighs in the background….my cameraboy is nine and his arms were giving out on him!

This was my first time taking professional (non-JC Pennys/Sears) business portraits in a studio. Jamie Koppi is an equally amazing wife, mother and entrepreneur who balances her life beautifully.

Jamie is a fun spirit and I enjoyed working with her and look forward to our family portrait session with her later this month. Enjoy the sneak peeks!
